At Re-engage (formerly Contact the Elderly) we’ve been dedicated to tackling loneliness and social isolation across the UK for more than 50 years. We currently work with over 6,500 older people (over 75) and 12,000 volunteers, organising peer support and intergenerational activities via regular social gatherings. Often the only point of social contact for an older person, our staff and volunteers can be a critical lifeline between isolated older people and wider services at times of need.
Our regular get-togethers bring real pleasure to people who have been feeling very alone by bringing them conversation, laughter and, crucially, giving them something to look forward to. Our older guests say:
“What a difference it has made to me. If I had the chance I’d go every day.”
“Its been the most wonderful thing that has happened to me. The people who have hosted me have been truly out of this world.”
This recycling scheme for charities is a completely free of charge service. We donate 100% of the value of all inkjet cartridges, which are successfully recycled.
Only selected inkjet cartridges are eligible for a donation, therefore please ensure that you check to see if the cartridge that you intend to recycle is listed.
