Mobilise was formed in 2005 from a merger between the Disabled Drivers’ Association and the Disabled Drivers’ Motorists Club.
With almost a hundred years of successful campaigning behind us we promote mobility for disabled drivers, passengers, public transport users, wheelchair and scooter users, families & carers.
We also provide a telephone information service that can assist with issues such as parking, the Blue Badge Scheme, returning to driving after becoming disabled, adapted vehicles, Motability, finding a driving instructor with experience teaching people with a particular disability, and general access issues. The information line is open between 9-5pm weekdays and there is an answering machine on at all other times.
Members receive a monthly magazine, Mobilise, and we also publish a range of information leaflets on subjects such as ‘Parking in London’, ‘VAT for disabled drivers’ and ‘Returning to Driving’.
