EcoDysgu is a non profit holistic education centre, set in 42 acres of beautiful countryside.
Children, young people and adults discover their natural talents through the Learning to Heal – Healing to Learn model of education- which involves creative workshops, learning new skills, and integrated healing therapies. The process increases self-confidence, skills, respect and well being. EcoDysgu has won praise from police, schools, youth services, parents, prison & probation services as well as the Queens Award for Volunteering and the Wales award from The Princes Foundation for Integrated Health. The environment and sustainable living are central to the EcoDysgu philosophy and the development of self-respect and respect for the environment are intertwined.
As well as delivering workshops to children and adults The 12 bed Bunkhouse is also available to hire to groups or individuals. At present over 20 volunteers help staff deliver projects and help maintain the site. Through the volunteering programme people find they are able to work through many personal difficulties with the help and support of staff on site as well as learn new skills.
