- UK Recycling Company Helps Children’s Charity Achieve Target Donation –

Lincolnshire based company, The Recycling Factory, has reached its fundraising target of £75,000 for national children’s charity, the NSPCC. The Recycling Factory and NSPCC have been partners since 2005, recycling inkjet cartridges, toner cartridges, mobile phones and latterly electronic gadgets, to raise vital funds for the charity.

The NSPCC run a wide range of projects and vital services around the UK, working on both a national and local level to further develop them and campaign to end cruelty to children. Their services include ChildLine and the NSPCC Helpline which provides advice for members of the public, parents, and professionals.

With the help of its staff and supporters, the NSPCC, in partnership with The Recycling Factory, have been able to raise the staggering £75,000 through the recycling scheme earlier than expected. They are now on course to surpass this figure before the end of 2011, raising even more funds for the charity to continue to provide essential services.

It is estimated that in excess of 30 million ink cartridges and 90 million mobile phones are dumped in the UK each year. By working together to recycle, individuals can really make a difference. The Recycling Factory encourages businesses and individuals to recycle their used ink cartridges and mobile phones and has already raised almost £2 million for its charity partners. They collect and remanufacture over 700,000 inkjet & toner cartridges each month at their site in Boston, Lincolnshire.

It is so simple to get involved and make a difference. Simply call our team on 0800 091 0696, email info@trf-uk.com or visit www.therecyclingfactory.com for further details.

- UK recycling company exceeds previous year’s fundraising -

Lincolnshire based recycling company The Recycling Factory has reached a milestone £100,000 of its 2011 fundraising target of £175,000 for the RNLI. The Recycling Factory and RNLI have been in partnership since 2008, recycling inkjet cartridges, toner cartridges, mobile phones and latterly electronic gadgets, to raise vital funds for the charity.

The RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) is the charity that saves lives at sea. It has over 4,600 volunteer crew members, providing a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Republic of Ireland, as well as a seasonal lifeguard service with more than 160 lifeguard units on beaches around the UK. Every penny raised through the recycling scheme will fund training for crew members, buy essential equipment and help to maintain some of the 330 lifeboats that are in operation.

In November 2010, the partnership exceeded all expectations by achieving a record breaking total of £100,000 and only half way through 2011, that same figure has already been realised – four months ahead of plan. The Recycling Factory is now on course to raise their staggering £175,000 target before the end of 2011.

Members and supporters of the RNLI have helped the charity reach this fantastic figure through the recycling of empty inkjet and toner cartridges, mobile phones and more recently, gadgets such as satellite navigation systems, MP3 players, hand-held game consoles and digital cameras.

The Recycling Factory encourages businesses and individuals to recycle their used ink cartridges and mobile phones and has already raised almost £2 million for its charity partners. They collect and remanufacture over 700,000 inkjet & toner cartridges each month at their site in Boston, Lincolnshire.

It is so simple to get on board. Simply call our team on 0800 091 0696, email info@trf-uk.com or visit www.therecyclingfactory.com for further details.

- The Recycling Factory teams with Voluntary First Response Team in New Partnership –

The Recycling Factory is delighted to announce that it has entered into a new partnership with the Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service (LIVES) to recycle inkjet and toner cartridges, mobile phones and gadgets such as satellite navigation systems, hand held game consoles, MP3 players and digital cameras in order to raise vital funds for the charity.

Founded in the 1970’s, LIVES began with no funding; doctors had to purchase their own equipment. By the 1980’s, they managed to establish a radio-communications system in order to improve the efficiency of callouts. In 1999, the Chief Executive of the Ambulance Trust invited LIVES to become part of a first response team for heart attack victims. LIVES saw this as an extension of their existing service and readily agreed to participate. It was agreed to call this part of LIVES ‘The First Responder Scheme’.

Through the recycling scheme, supporters can send us their empty inkjet cartridges, old mobile phones and gadgets, and LIVES will receive a donation for each one that can successfully be recycled. There is no cost to the charity for The Recycling Factory to operate the scheme; we supply all recycling materials such as freepost envelopes and collection boxes completely free of charge.

Getting involved couldn’t be easier. To request your materials and start recycling for LIVES, simply contact our team on 0800 091 0696 or email lives@trf-uk.com. Click here to find out more information about the recycling scheme.

If you would like more information about Lincolnshire LIVES and the work they do, please visit www.lives-responders.co.uk
